Exhibition opening VISUAL SCORES Masterpieces from private collections Grigorescu, Petrașcu, Mützner, Pallady, Țuculescu, Iancu, Brauner, Maxy Saturday, 8 November 2025, 11:00 a.m. CultureHub Gallery – Kog 7 Cultural Space 7 Kogălniceanu Square, Bucharest The CultureHub Gallery presents an exclusive exhibition dedicated to the masters of Romanian painting, bringing to the public's attention valuable works from private collections, most of which are being exhibited for the first time. The exhibition will open on Saturday, 8 November 2025, at 11:00 a.m. and will include a matinee performance by Diana Tishchenko (violin), Răzvan Popovici (viola), Justus Grimm (cello) and the MoldoDuo ensemble. General admission/visiting hours: 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The exhibition offers an insight into the visual universe of Romanian art and is structured into three thematic rooms: The Graphics Room (engraving, drawing, watercolour) – a look at the expressiveness of line and technical refinement; The Modern, Surrealist and Avant-Garde Painting Room – an exploration of creative freedom and formal innovation; and The Classical Romanian Art Room – a dialogue between tradition and modernity, between sensitivity and compositional rigour. The works on display belong to some of the most emblematic artists of the 20th century, such as Theodor Pallady, Gheorghe Petrașcu, Francisc Șirato, Samuel Mützner, Ion Țuculescu, M. H. Maxy, Victor Brauner, Doru Bucur, Aurel Cojan, Wanda Sachelarie-Vladimirescu and other important representatives of Romanian art. Through this extensive selection, the exhibition offers a visual journey through styles, eras and artistic visions, reaffirming the richness and diversity of Romanian visual heritage. Twenty years after the first agreement, SoNoRo turns its gaze back to its roots through the Romanian Rhapsody edition. Thus, through the works presented, the exhibition becomes a natural continuation of the festival’s story – a common rhapsody of Romanian art and spirit.
