Recul is an independent theatre in Bucharest, open since 4 July 2015. It stages theatre performances, long form improvisation and animation theatre. Housed in a generous space in a former factory, Recul is not only home to its own projects, but functions as a platform for independent culture in Bucharest. Recul Theatre hosts civil society events, independent journalism galas, choreography workshops, concerts and festivals.
