Expirat Club

1 Doctor Constantin Istrati Street, Bucharest

A non-conformist place where the chamber music performed by the musicians present at this year's SoNoRo Festival will resound is Club Expirat, an unconventional multifunctional space that will attract a new, young audience to classical music concerts, but also the loyal, knowledgeable audience, to unusual areas of the city. Club Expirat is located in a revitalized industrial space, which hosts numerous events in the cultural area, in addition to the dance evenings that define its main purpose. The club is located in the Compressor Hall, one of the spaces of the former E. Wolff factory established in 1877.
After the Second World War, this factory changed its name to Steaua Roșie, and after 1989 and until now, it bears the name of S.C. Hesper S.A. As a result of a bold and well-designed architectural project by the Zeppelin Association, the Carol Halls, where Club Expirat is also located, are becoming a cultural hotspot of the capital. The space was converted, keeping alive the memory of the factory's activity and workers, as well as the history of the building. With impressive acoustics, Club Expirat is the ideal place for chamber concerts.
