Tudor Ioan

Tudor Ioan began his musical training at the Secondary School of Arts No. 5 in Bucharest, in the class of Professor Anca Iarosevici, then continued his studies at the Dinu Lipatti National College of Arts in the class of Professor Ştefan Cazacu, under whose guidance he is still a second-year student at the National University of Music in Bucharest. His professional training and education was also enriched by participation in masterclasses held by artists such as Konstantin Heidrich, Denis Severin, Dragan Djordjevic, Andrei Ioniță, László Fenyö, Reinhard Latzko and others. In the field of chamber music, he was a SoNoRo Interferențe scholarship holder for three consecutive editions.
Over the years, Tudor has been awarded numerous prizes at national and international competitions, including Second Prize at the CellEAST Cello Competition (2024), Grand Prize at the Paul Constantinescu National Competition (2024) and First Prize at the George Georgescu International Competition (2024).
Tudor performed as a soloist with the Pitești Philharmonic Orchestra, playing Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo Theme, as part of the season, as a laureate of the Youth Festival Gala. He is an active member of the Romanian Youth Orchestra, with which he opened the Young Euro Classic Festival in Berlin, performing a concert in the renowned Konzerthaus Berlin under the baton of conductor Katharina Wincor. He also collaborated with the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra at the George Enescu Festival (2025). He is also a member of the Violoncellissimo ensemble and has performed with the Romanian Sinfonietta Orchestra (2022–2024), under the baton of Alexander Sitkovetsky.
