Violonista și violista americană Blythe Teh Engström a studiat vioara cu Nelli Shkolnikova, Mimi Zweig și Josef Gingold, iar viola cu Atar Arad la Universitatea Indiana din Bloomington. Ulterior, a studiat cu Andrés Cárdenes în Pittsburgh. O muziciană pasionată de muzica de cameră, a colaborat cu Menahem Pressler, Yuja Wang, Lisa Batiashvili, Joshua Bell, Renaud Capuçon, Leonidas Kavakos, Pinchas Zukerman, Lawrence Power, Nobuko Imai, Gautier Capuçon și Quatuor Ébène. A fost membră a Quatuor Terpsycordes (Elveția) și este în prezent membră a Cvartetului Serafino.

Blythe has performed in numerous festivals, such as the Miyazaki Festival in Japan, Schloss Elmau and Cappenberg in Germany, and Bellerive and Verbier Festivals in Switzerland. She is a founding member of the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra which, under Gábor Takács-Nagy, tours regularly with artists including Martha Argerich, Joshua Bell and Maxim Vengerov, and made its first recording with Maxim Vengerov for EMI.  She has been the Chamber Orchestra’s concertmaster and currently leads the viola section.  Blythe Teh Engström plays on a beautiful Maggini viola, on generous loan from a private benefactor.
